Alpha Gamma Delta was founded by these 11 outstanding women in 1904 at Syracuse University on May 30th. They created a strong Fraternity which today boasts over 123,000 members, 176 Collegiate Chapters (117 are active) and 250+ Alumnae Chapters, Clubs and Junior Circles throughout the USA and Canada. Tau Chapter at the U of Toronto was chartered in 1919, making AGD an International Fraternity.

Members of Alpha Gamma Delta share a unique bond. They are joined by their mutual goals of the Purpose.

Friendships forged in the hearth of Alpha Gamma Delta's love and honour will last a lifetime. Pictured here are Marlene (left) and Catherine (right).

Here are three generations of Presidents. Allison (left) was President in 1995. Nicole (left) was President in 1996. Catherine (center) is the 1997 UWO Panhellenic President.

She is Zeta Chi's first Panhellenic Prez!

As Alumnae, past Presidents and all graduated members of the Chapter are helpful during Zeta Chi's most anticipated event of the year: RUSH!

Formal Rush at the University of Western Ontario is held in late September and accommodates the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur.

Conceived in 1993 by JoAnne Hullah Strongman, Charter Member, Zeta Chi's Cruise Party has become a focal point for Recruitment.

This party has become so popular among Alpha Gams that the International Rush Committee has formerly presented this as a party option for other AGD chapters. Zeta Chi would like to thank Patricia Jones Hatch for her support of our Rush Program. Without her advisement over the years, we wouldn't have been able to win the Rush Award at Convention 1997!

Western's social calendar is one of the busiest on Canadian campuses. Zeta Chi tries to participate in mixers with each of UWO's 21 Fraternities and 5 other NPC groups. Many parties are quads or six packs, meaning that 4 or 6 groups attend that party.

Alpha Gamma Delta events include the Reverse Crush, Feast of Roses and Semi-Formal held in the Fall. The spring months bring the Crush Party, the Father-Daughter Ball, the Mother-Daughter Luncheon and the Spring Formal.

At Zeta Chi, Initiation Ceremonies are celebrated by the Feast of Roses Banquet. This Sisterhood event is a special day for New Members, the Initiation Team, Sister Mothers, and Alumnae.

Feast of Roses is also held at Convention. Another AGD banquet is unique to Convention. This is the Epsilon Pi Banquet where the Fraternity honours Her most devoted Members. The Honors of Epsilon Pi are bestowed during Ritual held only at Convention. Thus far, no Zeta Chi has received the Arc of Epsilon Pi, the first of seven Honors.

Our Charter Members started a tradition when they decided to hold an AGD Crush Party during Winter term. Members secretly invite a "crush". He has no idea who invited him, but if he chooses to accept his invitation, dresses up in the appropriate costume for the theme of the Crush party. Only at midnight does he discover who invited him!

Although the theme for the party changes year to year, the 20s Theme has remained a Zeta Chi favourite!
